At BMW, mobility is defined by the range of possibilities that extend beyond simple need. Having now arrived at a time in history where massive innovation has created new choices for everyone, we have all become better at devising our own ideal scenarios. The concept of personal mobility has become central to our own sense of freedom and individuality. BMW innovation propels all forms of mobility to aspire to greater goals.

The love affair with the automobile is countered with our love of landscapes. Forces of nature and man are changing our environment and climate. As we move toward refining our attitude toward mobility, we must rethink our priorities.

Our energy reserves, based on known resources of mineral oil, are only sufficient to last for the next 50 years or so. We are faced with even more pressing matters in the conundrum of congested cities and roadways. It is clear that our options must change in due course.

Each BMW product must have a future. Our innovation extends to consideration for managing scarce resources in manufacture, using high-quality materials that will endure and providing systems that guarantee that all aspects of production and use are environmentally acceptable.
